Privacy policy

Last updated: July 2026

This policy explains how noxIT ("we", "us") processes personal data on this website, in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data controller

noxIT is the data controller for personal data collected through this site. For any privacy request, contact support@noxit.it.

2. What we collect and why

We collect only what is needed to run the customer area:

  • Account data — your name, company (optional) and email address, provided when you register.
  • Credentials — your password, stored only as a salted cryptographic hash (we never store it in clear text and cannot read it).
  • Account metadata — registration date, approval status, and the date you gave consent.
  • Server logs — standard technical logs (including your IP address and download events) kept for security and to operate the service.

We do not use tracking, advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not build profiles or sell data to anyone.

3. Purpose and legal basis

  • To create and manage your account and to give approved customers access to firmware and documentation — on the basis of your consent and our steps to provide the service you requested.
  • To keep the service secure and prevent abuse — on the basis of our legitimate interest.

4. Sharing

We do not share your personal data with third parties, except where required by law or to the hosting provider that stores the data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards.

5. Retention

We keep account data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account (or ask us to), your personal data is removed. Security logs are kept for a limited period and then rotated out.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and to data portability. You can delete your account and personal data yourself from your account page, or contact support@noxit.it to exercise any of these rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

7. Cookies

This site uses only strictly-necessary technical cookies. See the Cookie policy for details.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
